Meditation & Mindfulness for Stress

Life can be hectic and demanding. We can find ourselves constantly in motion living a ‘packed-in-life’. In a starte of fight or flight we don’t always behave the way we want to. We react to the situations and people around us or find ourselves depleted with little of quality to offer.

 

Meditation and mindfulness are scientifically proven ways to activate areas of the brain that are connected to positivity, wellbeing, emotional awareness and resilience. They can help us build our inner resources and improve clarity and presence of mind; this in turn improves our quality of life.

 

This short workshop will allow you to understand and experience simple practices of mindfulness and meditation to take with you in to your daily life. We will also touch on what the science says about these powerful practices for the management of stress.

About the facilitator

Ranga is a yoga teacher and physiotherapist who uses yoga and mindfulness to help patients experiencing persistent pain. Her journey in life as a practitioner of bhakti yoga has led to a practical approach that synthesises mental and physical well being along with an awareness of our soulful nature. In her spare time ranga can be found writing, exploring the outdoors, enjoying time with friends and family, meditating and practicing yoga. She brings her genuine presence to the courses she teaches.
