Bhakti Life

August 10, 2019 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Bhakti Life
This course has been designed to help you move away from ritualism in the name of Hinduism.

For anyone who wants to know about the practice of bhakti, as well as for graduates of Explore and Gita Life courses.

In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says to surrender to Him out of love. What does this mean practically? Is spirituality an affair of the heart, or a path guided by the intelligence? Who defines what Bhakti-yoga is, the path of devotion?

Bhakti-yoga is not an armchair philosophy, a religious doctrine or a Sunday ritual. It is a way of life. When practiced with sincerity and purity it combines and synthesizes all other disciplines.

Bhakti Life is a six week course which teaches the participant how to take the principles of the Bhagavad Gita from the battlefield of Kurushetra, and apply and live those principles in the battlefield of our own lives. The sessions will include a basic philosophical understanding of Krishna consciousness and see how they apply in our personal lives, at work, within our homes and families, and ultimately to the world at large. The courses will also teach how to offer food, do arati, chant and do other basic practices involved in bhakti yoga.

Course Dates: starting Sunday 5th May 2019 for 6 weeks
Time: 2pm – 5pm
Venue: Bhaktivedanta Manor
